Prof Aradhana Jindal, Principal, MM School of Architecture was honoured for her contribution in ‘Architectural Education’ by First Friday Forum founded by Dr S.S Bhatti, in an symposium on ‘Architecture and Poetry—symbiosis for holistic creativity’ held at Government Museum and Art Gallery, Sector 10, Chandigarh on Saturday, 28th October’17.Eight professionals: Prof A.K. Agarwal (mathematics); ArParitosh Kumar (Architecture in America); Mr H.S Johl (lifetime achievement award for landscaping); Dr H.K. Lall (Rishi Patialvi Memorial Award forMaster Urdu Poet); ErAshimaRaizada (Rising Star Award) and Ar SS Bahga (architecture and journalism)from different fields were also honoured for their outstanding work on this occasion.

She was presented with a shawl and citation which reads, “We are pleased to confer on Aradhana Jindal, First Friday Forum award for Creative excellence in recognition of her valuable contribution to Architectural Education. Her passion and enthusiasm for her chosen field of human endeavour guarantees that she will go very far in establishing this field on sound footing. To her sustained enterprise, she brings the fruits of her long experience in the practice and research of architecture. Her human approach to all aspects of the discipline and result oriented emphasis on it sets her apart. In her hands Architectural Education is assured to scale new heights of pedagogic distinction and professional glory”.

The symposium was enthusiastically witnessed by professions, prominent citizens, and students of architecture and the public.
