MM SOA organises expert lecture on ‘Fire Safety’ by Prof. G.C.Aggarwal
MM School of Architecture organised an expert lecture on ‘Fire Safety in Buildings’ by Prof. G.C. Aggarawal on 18th November.
In view of increasing number of fires in the buildings now days, it has become mandatory for the architects to provide fire safety strategies in the buildings. Prof. Aggarwal talked about the factors which can cause fire in the building and how an architect has to design building by incorporating all the fire safety measures. The measures start from the concept stage and extend till the stage where the final services, smoke detectors, sprinklers, fire-fighting tank, fire extinguishers, etc. are placed in the building. This not only saves the building from the danger of fire but also if in any case, the building catches fire, it can be extinguished in minimum time saving the building from the disaster.
The students listened to his lecture with great enthusiasm. The lecture was followed by a brief interactive question answer session between the students and the expert.
Prof. GC Aggarawal was awarded a token of respect by Prof. Aradhana Jindal, Principal which was followed by the vote of thanksby Ar. Hena Tiwari.
