MM School of Architecture organized a visit to brick kiln (Milap bricks co.) at Naraingarh, village Panjlasa for 1st year students on 20.11.19 assisted by Ar. Parul Gupta. The case study was very informative for the students as they learnt about the various processes undertaken in the manufacture of bricks i.e. preparation of clay, brick molding, drying ,burning and also familiarized themselves with the different types and classes of bricks their cost and sources of raw material etc. by onsite interaction with involved person. The visit was successful in imparting practical knowledge about brick as a building material to the students.

During the visit, the students showed a lot of enthusiasm in understanding and documented it in the form of notes, sketches and photographs. Thus, the visit conducted was very knowledgeable as with this, the students could actually relate the theoretical aspects of building material with the practical aspects which was beneficial to bridge the gap between studio lectures and practical.
