Students of VI Semester, B.Arch visited Tagore Theatre in Sector-18, Chandigarh on 5th April, 2018 as part of their VIth Semester design problem. During the visit, the students studied the planning of auditorium including all the services, backstage area, parking, seating spaces, circulation area, acoustics etc. The students not only gained knowledge about auditorium planning but also were enlightened about the structural aspects of large span spaces.

The students were divided into five groups for better understanding and each group was made to study all the spaces of the auditorium. The main objective was to study the planning of all the areas of the auditorium including the visitor’s areas like reception, entrance foyer lobby, ticket counter, snacks/café area, main auditorium block and back.
