Educational tour to Gujarat
One cannot learn through books what we can learn from experience. Third year students of MM School of Architecture had the unique opportunity to immerse in the architecture culture of Ahmadabad on their Study Tour to explore the city, known to be the Mecca of Architecture in India from 26th January to 1st February. From the traditional neighborhoods, markets and urban squares in the walled city to the work of contemporary Indian Architects, students experienced a wide range of Architectural phenomena. The itinerary also included Iconic buildings and campuses by masters Like Louis I Kahn, Le Corbusier, BV Doshi, Charles Correa and many more. The study tour fostered an intellectual stimulation which was rewarding in countless ways. The intensity of architectural reflections generated by the tour inspired and influenced students to develop a way of thinking about Architecture and engage meaningfully with the ongoing relevant issues in the profession.
