MM School of Architecture organised expert lecture by Dr.ChitrarekhaKabre, Dean and Professor, Faculty of Architecture and Planning, DCRUST, Murthal on ‘Building Energy Efficiency Standards in India’on 12^th May for the students of IIIrd and IVth year.

Dr Kabre presented a crisp picture of growing energy usage scenario in India. She said that India is fourth largest energy consumer in the world and the building sector has the largest share of energy use in the overall scenario. She gave an overview of need of energy efficient buildings in the present context. Her presentation mainly focused on framing policies and standards for Energy efficient/ Green buildings in India. She supported her deliberations with the help of case studies of Green buildings.

At the end of the session, the students had interactive Ques.-Ans. session with Dr.Kabre.
