5 Days Faculty Development Programme organized by School of Architecture, M. M. University, Sadopur, Ambala
School of Architecture, MM University, Sadopur, Ambala organized a 5 days Faculty Development Programme on “Recent Advances in Architecture and Construction” from 15-19 June 2015. It was attended by Architects and civil engineers from the host college as well as from other Institutes.

The programme was inaugurated by Ar. Preeti G. Bhatia, Practicing Architect from Chandigarh by lighting the ceremonial lamp. In her inaugural speech, Prof. Aradhana Jindal, Convener (FDP) stressed on the need of holding FDPs regularly to upgrade the teaching skills of the faculty.

The programme was divided into Pre noon and Post lunch sessions. In the Pre noon session, experts from the industry and academics presented talks on various current topics like Architectural Education, Green Architecture and its usefulness, Sustainable Housing, Fire Safety, Energy Efficient Architecture and Role of Architect in Disaster Management. The talks not only focused on building up the knowledge base but also strengthened the teaching skills of the faculty present. In Post noon session, Ms. Suvidha, the computer instructor taught computer softwares like Revit and Photoshop to the faculty to enhance their knowledge of the computer softwares.

In all the faculty found the programme quite informative for their growth. The programme ended with a valedictory session by Ar. Surinder Bahga who presented certificates to the faculty on successful completion of the programme.
