Faculty participation in 6 Days Short Term Course organized by NIT Hamirpur
Two faculty members Ar. Shaluza Mittal and Ar. Ravi Mahajan of MM School of Architecture participated in 6 days Short Term Course on “Sustainable Built Environment: Issues and Options” at NIT Hamirpur from 01-06 July 2016.
Today the world is floating between the immense and mounting dangers of climate change and the economic opportunity presented by a global transition to sustainable energy. The entire course was designed very meticulously focusing majorly on the current issues.Future Technologies for the built environment, New Concepts and Practices in Earthquake Resistant Design, Zero Energy Building, Sustainable Water Use in Buildings, Concept of Landscape & Site planning- An Ecological Approach, Climate Responsive Architecture and many more were the topics of discussion.
One day trip to Dharamshala was arranged by the organizers for thedelegates.Trip included sightseeing, visit to buildings like International Cricket Stadium, Mcleodganj, Norbulingka Monastery and vernacular projects of DIDI contractor.
The entire course was very informative for the academic growth of the faculty.
