Industrial visit report of Cast Iron Factory and MMIS School
Site visit of 3rd yearB.Arch. students to “CAST IRON FACTORY AND MMIS SCHOOL”
School of Architecture, Maharishi Markandeshwar University organized a one day industrial visit for the 3rd year students of B.Arch. to CAST IRON FACTORYin SadopurAmbala,on Tuesday 25th Aug 2015 as a part of subject Building Construction and Materials. The purpose of site visit was to make students better understandthe manufacturing process of cast iron,the steel structures along with various types of steel connections, trussesand steel shuttering detailsthat they were being taught in their course.
The students saw the working process of the cupola furnace practically. They went through various types of construction details related to their course work. The construction details includes angular trusses, steel floor-high Platform with base, steel staircase, roofing covering material fixing with J hook detail, gutter detail etc.
All the students strengthened their academicknowledge with the practical site experience.
