MM School Of Architecture celebrated “SRIJAN 2K20” on the 6th and 7th November 2020 on Microsoft teams platform managed by cultural coordinators Ar. Vipasha Sharma and Ar. Deeksha Sharma to encourage students to make their valuable contribution by providing an opportunity to engage themselves in a structured partnership with the faculty members which itself is a valuable part of the education process. Srijan is organized every year as a cultural fest which is necessary for the overall development of a student. The two-day event constituted inter-house competitions between the four houses i.e. Mughal, Chola, Rajput, Maurya, and extremely informative workshops. All the houses participated with full zest.
The fest commenced with an opening ceremony with the blessings of Lord Ganesha. The competitions on this day started with the jury of design and photography competition followed by “Diya” decoration, calligraphy, soap carving, fetch the item, quiz and solo song. The day concluded with an interesting workshop by Ar. Dishant Bhatia in which the students were asked to make a doodle with the given words during the presentation.
The second day commenced with origami competition followed by stone painting, DIY dress, picturesque, bookmark design, paragraph writing, solo dance, salad and fruit decoration, caricature, antakshri, and finally an enlightening seminar by Ar. Joel Micheal on “Importance of storytelling in Architecture” which indeed was full of knowledge. Each participant showed ebullience throughout the competitions as it was a chance for them to put their creative foot forward.
The fest concluded by awarding students of all batches with academic awards in different categories. At the end, Prof. Aradhana Jindal, Principal MMSOA appreciated and thanked all the teachers and students for the successful completion of the event and also announced Chola House as the winner of the fest.
